The latest addition to the custom fit armory at Jeffersports Pemberton location is the installation a Zelocity Pure Launch Golf Performance Monitor. Zelocity products employ sophisticated radar technology and mathematical algorithms to provide the purest of measurements and accurate calculations.
Zelocity™
Golf Performance Monitors are rapidly becoming the
standard for instructors, club fitters, and tour professionals.
The
launch monitor has two integrated Doppler-radar transceivers;
(Patented technology; Made in USA) which provide shot
data which is transferred to a personal computer.
The output information available for the club customizing
process includes: Ball Velocity, Club Head Speed,
Carry Distance, Power Transfer Ratio %, Launch Angle,
and Total Spin.
Zelocity™
is the golf industry's only true ball velocity measuring
device. Zelocity™ uses the Doppler radar to
emit radar pulses which creates a radar field. As
the golf ball travels through the radar field, it
bounces impulses back to the monitor, which measures
the ball's actual velocity, spin, and launch angle.
Zelocity™ does not calculate measurements by
comparing to pre-stored data like other devices do.
Its feedback information is reliable and accurate
since data is measured, not estimated.
This
feedback information such as, the distance you hit
each club, allows the custom fitting to determine
and produce a consistent yardage between them. Zelocity™
measures your yardage gap by averaging 10 shots with
your 3 iron and your pitching wedge. It then calculates
the average yardage gap between those two clubs. Next
it divides that average by 7, (8 clubs minus 1 - number
of gaps). This gives you the average yardage gap between
each club. Now you can hit 10 good shots with your
4 through 9 irons. Check to see if you have the same
average yardage gap between all clubs. If not, then
your lofts should be measured and adjusted to produce
the same yardage gap.
For
those looking for that long drive the Zelocity™
can measure the ball velocity from one driver to another,
and determine which one has a greater C.O.R. (coefficient
of restitution). This will determine which driver
hits the golf ball the farthest. Couple this with
the ball velocity of different golf balls to see which
one goes the farthest. Match golf balls to drivers
for the best combination.
This cutting edge technology in addition to ball velocity
and club speed, measures backspin and launch angle.
This allows equipment fitters to find the combination
of club speed, launch angle, and spin that optimizes
distance.
By now you should be on your way to Jeffersports and
to a better golf game!
What are you waiting for!!
